The AE/AEO Association’s annual reunion will be held in San Diego, California at the Holiday Hilton Bayside Inn on September 20 through 24, 2017.
We’ll be staying right on the bay across from the US Navy facilities. Events for former AE/AOE sailors and their spouses will begin Wednesday the 20th with events throughout the week through Sunday morning. Events include whale watching, tours of Naval facilities, the USS Midway, Balboa Park, San Diego Zoo Safari Park, Old Town San Diego and numerous restaurant venues, culminating with the annual AE/AOE Association banquet Saturday night at the Bayside Inn. At the 2016 Reunion held in Portland, Maine last September, the USS Mazama group was the largest of all AE/AOE sailers and family attending the reunion.
Our own Bill Gohde, USS Mazama AE-9 (1965 – 68) is President of the Association.
