One of Mazama’s oldest ship mates has passed on and will be reporting for duty at his final port of call. Ralph Hann served in WWII on USS MAZAMA, and was in one of the largest Naval battles when the Mazama was torpedoed by a Japanese submarine in the Pacific. Ralph received injuries that would take time for him to recover. See his former comments in the USS Mazama Guestbook here on this site. RIP Shipmate..
