Chuck Tabor · 1965-1968

OPS RM2

CPO Rice was my first RMC I served with, he was old salty dog “Chief”. He got your respect pretty quickly and was quick to help/support to make the radio shack run smoothly. I was on watch the evening he passed away! Fair winds “Chief”

CPO Rice was a great man and a good friend…he enjoyed using his short wave equipment in his spare time…ha ha.
He held the radio shack together and used his knowledge of communication techniques to get us on the good side of the Old Man.

CPO Rice was “top of the Line” in my book. An Old Salt with great character and love for the Navy.
Tabor and I served together in the radio shack during Westpac and Med cruises. Take care old friend.
