I served aboard the Mazama 1944-45. Have vivid mermories of the day we were torpedoed, January 12, 1945. See the story on the HISTORY page. That day I lost my best friend Ed Marsh the only sailor to ever lose his life while serving on the Mazama during WWII.

I would like to hear from any survivors who can recall what they were doing that morning when we were hit.

Thank you. Ralph

    Dear Ralph,
My dad, Ted Mcclintock,, served with you the day the Mazama was hit. My dad passed away in
1984 at the age of 57. I have been going through some of the things he left with my brother,
who just passed. Dad never gave us any of the details of his service on the Mazama. I found
your email in the guestbook and would really appreciate anything you are willing to share with
    me regarding that day.
    Thanks so much,
    Linda (McClintock) Huska
