I may have known Jim but it was some time ago now. I wonder if you were referring to the Westpac trip to the Phillipines to rearm ships up and down the Vietnam coast. I was an electronics tech on the Mazama from 65 to 67. You are right, there was a lot of good men on her. I am sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. We are all getting along these days.

Paul extended his enlistment to make the 1966 WesPac deployment. He was out of the Navy when Mazama tied up in Davisville on return from WesPac12/21/66! Good engineman and all around good guy.

My Dad Served on Mazama, I have his DD214 ..He Passed on August 22,2003. He and his twin brother Delmo both served on Mazama, but in different areas.
